I had an amazing dining experience at place, just 1 min walking distance from Scott Garden. Their signature Pork Bone Claypot is rich and aromatic. The pork belly is just right distributed and flavored! I also enjoyed the steamed ginger fish head, yellow wine chicken and vinegar pork (especially this vinegar pork, it just tastes like my grandma’s ). All of these dishes are cooked to perfection and brings out authentic and home-style taste. Warm service, spacious and cozy atmosphere, and truly satisfying food at an affordable price. A must visit traditional Chinese cuisine spot if you travel to Old Klang Road!

Location: Fei Lou Bak Kut Teh & Fish Head, Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur Rating: Highlights 1. Rich & Flavorful Soup The broth is full of herbal aroma yet not too bitter, perfectly balanced with a natural sweetness. Very comforting and addictive. 2. Fresh & Tender Meat The pork ribs and cuts are soft and juicy, with no unpleasant smell. The kidney is cooked just right—tender and delicious. 3. Signature Steamed Fish Head A must-try! The ginger paste version is fresh and fragrant, while the sauce-steamed fish head is tangy, savory, and perfect with rice. 4. Great Side Dishes Tofu, fried beancurd puffs, yau char kway (Chinese crullers), and mushrooms complement the bak kut teh beautifully. Their otak-otak is also worth trying. 5. Atmosphere & Service Though it has a roadside/coffee shop vibe, the place is clean and welcoming. Open till late—great for supper. Staff are friendly and attentive.

The bak kut teh meat is tender, and the soup is flavorful. The pork kidney is fresh and pleasantly crisp, with no fishy smell. The vinegar pork trotters are also delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal for both of us adults.

We enjoyed a truly memorable gastronomic experience at 肥佬 where every dish served was a delightful showcase of rich, traditional flavours and careful preparation. The highlight was the Bah Kut Teh where the broth was deeply aromatic, infused with a perfect blend of herbs and spices, and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, soaking up every nuance of the slow-cooked broth. Other standout dishes were the braised pork (yes, different from the earlier pot) that was luxuriously soft, its layers of fat and lean meat melting together in a rich, savoury gravy that had clearly been slow-cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the vinegar pork leg, a comforting classic that balanced sweet, tangy and savoury notes. Equally impressive was the steamed fish, served fresh and garnished with aromatics that brought out the natural sweetness of the fish. Each dish was a testament to the kitchen’s attention to detail and respect for traditional flavours. Altogether, it was a deeply satisfying meal that celebrated the richness of Malaysian-Chinese comfort food, making 肥佬 a place we would return! While some might grumble about the lack of air conditioning, we found that it added to the charm, evoking the feel of a true traditional food joint—unpretentious, authentic, and full of character!!! Try it! Tips for parking: park at Scott Garden next door

Absolutely the best Bak Kut Teh I've ever had! The broth is the true star—it's unbelievably aromatic, deep, and complex, with that perfect balance of herbs and spices that warm you from the inside out. The pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and beautifully permeated by the herbal soup. You can taste the time and tradition in every spoonful. A truly authentic, soulful, and five-star experience
